North Campus welcomed the Seneca High Fighting Irish Football team this morning. They read to the students, answered questions, and joined in for some recess fun too! We are so happy they could join us before their big game on Saturday. The students really enjoyed their time together. Go Irish!!

We want to give a big thank you to Mrs. Temple from the LaSalle County Agriculture Department for visiting our fourth-grade class on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. Mrs. Temple was busy teaching the fourth grade all about pumpkins! 🎃 We had such a fun time learning how pumpkins grow from tiny seeds into big, colorful fruits. Did you know that every pumpkin has about 500 seeds inside? We also learned that pumpkins are about 90% water, which helps them grow so large. Another fun fact is that pumpkins can come in many colors—not just orange, but also white, yellow, and even blue! Mrs. Temple helped us make a creative mobile that showed the entire life cycle of a pumpkin, from seed to sprout, vine, flower, and finally, the pumpkin itself. Everyone enjoyed using their imagination and working together on this project. It was exciting to see how science and art can come together in such a fun way. We are so thankful to Mrs. Temple for sharing her time, knowledge, and enthusiasm with us. Thank you again for helping us learn more about one of fall’s favorite fruits! 🍂

Congratulations to the 5th and 6th grade band members on a wonderful performance this past Tuesday night! It's great to see so much growth since the beginning of the year and we're excited to see where the rest of the year takes us! Great job Raiders!

🎃 Join us for our annual North Campus Halloween Parade! 🎃
This year’s parade will take place in Crotty Park from 10:50–11:15 a.m., allowing our South Campus students to enjoy the fun as spectators. Families and friends are warmly invited to attend and cheer on our students in their festive costumes. Stand anywhere along the sidewalk.
🚗 Parking: Please park in the Crotty Park lot or our west parking lot by the baseball field. For safety, avoid parking along Oak Street.
After the parade, students will return to the school for dismissal. Families are welcome to walk down to the main entrance to meet their child. If your child’s normal dismissal routine will change, please send a note to your child’s teacher so we can follow our regular safety procedures.
We can’t wait to celebrate this spooky and spirited tradition with our school community! 🕸️👻
