Return to School on a Scroll

Seneca Grade School Families

We hope this letter finds your family enjoying the summer.  Our staff has been busy preparing for our return to school in August.  We would like to share Seneca Grade School’s preliminary plan for return to learning for the 2020-2021 school year following the current guidelines provided by the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Illinois State Board of Education.  We are allowing parents the option of in-person learning or remote learning for their child(ren).  Our plan will adjust as needed to fit the needs of students.

Outlined in the plan are requirements for in-person instruction and remote instruction.  Families are asked to commit to a trimester of instruction. (November 6th 2020). Please read the plan carefully.  As we planned the return to school, we did so with the safety and well-being of all students and staff as our main priority.

For our planning and staffing needs, we ask that you make your instructional choice by Wednesday July 29th via this link, SGS Instructional Choice Survey

Please complete one form per student.

We are excited to start our school year.  We appreciate your continued support and flexibility as we work through this trying situation.  This plan was created following the latest ISBE and IDPH guidelines and may change as further guidance becomes available or may adjust as we evaluate incoming survey data. We realize there is no plan that fits the needs and circumstances of all families.  We will communicate updates and changes as they occur.  Please contact the office with any questions you may have.

Sincerely,

Seneca Grade School Administration
