SGS Learning Community,

We hope that this message finds you and your family healthy.  As the “Stay at Home Order” continues on through its fourth week, I believe I can speak for all of the staff members at SGS when I say that we truly miss all of our students.

As we have navigated through the Remote Learning process, I have been very impressed and proud of how our students, families and staff have pulled together to make the best of the tough situation.  Please keep in mind that even though we are not physically at school, the assigned school work and activities are very important to each student’s educational progress.  If students are having difficulty with assignments, educational concepts or even with a technology device, please make sure to contact your classroom teacher or building principal.  For parents dropping off assignment packets, there will be an after-hours drop box at both buildings on Wednesday’s if you are dropping off student work after 4:00 P.M.

Next week Lunch/Breakfast will be provided on Tuesday April 21st and Thursday April 23rd with pick-up available from 11:00A.M. - 12:00 P.M.  If you would like to be added to list for meal pickup or delivery, please email wcondon@sgs170.org or text (815)768-9742.  You may also call (815)357-8744 ext. 2161.

As we await for Governor Pritzker to decide on the fate of the remainder of the school year, we will continue to communicate the plans for school and activities at SGS as those decisions are made.  If you have any questions or concerns during this difficult time, please do not hesitate to contact me at SGS.

Sincerely,

Eric Misener
