On Friday, March 23, the 8th grade students visited the Route 66 Museum and Livingston County War Museum in Pontiac, IL.  At the Route 66 Museum, students were able to look at memorabilia from stops along the famous road and had a chance to tour the VW hippie bus of Bob Waldmire.  The museum also contained a floor that gave the students a glimpse into life during the years of World War II.  The Livingston County War Museum gave the eighth graders the opportunity to hear stories of war from veterans of the Korean War, Vietnam, and WWII.  This museum even allowed them to get up close and personal with artifacts and uniforms from local soldiers.
