Seneca Lions Club announces local winners of 2011 Peace Poster Contest

Each year, Lions clubs around the world proudly sponsor the Lions International Peace Poster Contest in local schools and youth groups. This contest encourages young people worldwide to artistically express their visions of peace. The theme of the 2011-2012 Peace Poster Contest is "Children Know Peace." Our 6th graders participate as part of the Art program, and 10 finalists are chosen to be submitted to the local Lions club chapter.
This year’s finalists were:
- Reagan Babcock
- McKenna Coffey
- Elizabeth Herrera
- Jeremy Hepner
- Rain Sanburg
- Ryan Sandness
- Emily Silvola
- Faith Thrun
- Mya Trager
- Taylor Vroman
The winners were decided at the October Lions Club meeting and they were:
1st Place: Taylor Vroman
2nd Place: Faith Thrun
3rd Place: Rain Sanburg

Taylor's picture will proceed to the district level to compete with other area schools.
The winner of the district level will proceed on to a regional level and then on to the international level.
