About Mr. Richards
I have been in music for as long as I can remember. My entire family has been involved in music and some point in their life. Both my mother and my sister have degrees in Music Education. I received a Bachelor in Music with an emphasis in vocal education from Northern Illinois University in 2007. While at NIU, I participated in a variety of ensembles, including: Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, and NIU Steelband. After graduation, I worked as a long-term substitute in Naperville, IL.
Seneca Grade School is my first permanent teaching job and I cannot be happier. I am surrounded by great students, faculty, and administration. I am in charge of Kindergarten-6th Grade general music and the 7th/8th Grade Chorus. I also moderate for Scholastic Bowl. In my free time I like to golf, spend time with my friends, read, and perform. Currently, I perform with Cor Cantiamo (DeKalb), Philander Singers (Dixon) and Prairie Singers (Verona).
