First Quarter

I have had a great time getting to know all of my new Kindergartners this year. This quarter in music, we have learned the different ways to use our voices. The students have had the chance to sing songs, recite poems, and create different sounds using only their voices. Ask your student what his or her favorite poem is! We have also moved around to different types of music. The students have practiced showing how the music sounds using their bodies. We have some very creative Kindergartners!

In the second quarter, we will start discussing opposites in music (high and low, loud and soft, fast and slow). The students will have the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned at the Winter Program on December 10th. They are very excited to have you come see them perform!
