7th and 8th Grade Chorus
Well, it’s the end of 1st Quarter already and Chorus has been going great so far. Back on September 11th, we took part in the 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony organized by Mrs. Novotney. We sand “America, the Beautiful”. Some of the other things that went on during the ceremony were, selected 5th and 6th graders recited famous quotes, kids from the North Campus recited the Character Counts pledge, Russ and Mark Tendall sang, and Ethan Paulsen of the Seneca High School FFA also sang. Now, we are working on our songs for the Winter Concert, which is on December 8th, 2009. Some of the songs we are preparing are: Carol of the Bells, Carols Around (and Around), and Kyrie. Both the girls and the boys are practicing their own pieces to be performed at the concert. All in all, this first quarter has gone very well. As the 2nd quarter approaches, hopefully things will go just as well as the first quarter did.
